Its been a long time

I can't say anything except busy. Transplant went great but we have hit our bumps in the road. Isabella has faired well but she has been through alot. We have had an episode of rejection, bile duct narrowed and required tube and drain and we just removed her port and brought her home with periph. Iv to do Vancomycin. I want to write alot more because we have had tons of good stuff as well. But we have been so busy.
Landon's heart appt went awesome and guess what. He can go 9 months before his next visit!! Go Landon!! Wahoo! Hopefully my head will rest this week and I can type some more details.

Isabella has rec'd a liver

On Saturday, March 21 of 2009 I received a liver that is a perfect fit for her. This liver can last her a lifetime. I have seen miracles and amazing things, but words can't describe this. She is doing very very well and the liver is functioning. She is still sedated but they will probably start weaning her meds today so we can get her off of the ventilator.
Alot of prayers went out and they were answered and I am so grateful and my heart is so heavy with many emotions. But please rememember that we were blessed but somewhere another family suffered a loss that gave Isabella a better life. Please keep them in your prayers.

I will try to update more but computer access is hard and I am just tired. But please spread to those who have followed and now more than ever I encourage donations. Even $5.00 can help.

The time has come to kick up our fundraising efforts as we already got a call last night for a possible liver but it did not come through for some pretty rare reasons and we need to raise money to help while I am without work. Isabella is starting lose her hair. It has been cut and before long she will be bald.

I should be posting more and I will...

I promise. So much is happening. Isabella is tolerating the chemo very well. Her counts are great. She will officially be on the transplant waiting list for a liver tomorrow. We have the final clearance from insurance and so it is a go.

This is very scary and good in so many different ways.

But we have to get the fundraising going!! Got to push her site as much as possible. I wish I had more family support and volunteers to help fundraise. But honestly, the online crowd well is my family. We are going to do some local fundraisers but it is hard because there isn't really but one person locally willing to help at all.

I will post more as the week goes by I promise. I just have to get my head straight and my thoughts clear!

All Around Update

Sorry, my internet access has been limited lately.Isabella has completed her first part of the chemo course and will receive the next dose on 3/9. She has tolerated it well for the most part. But we have to stay right on top of her nausea meds or she just becomes immobile and will not move. So far so good. We did an echo while in the hospital and her heart looks great. It looks like she will be listed sometime next week.
Landon is all smiles as usual and we have posted some new videos finally!!
